LAS VEGAS — O.J. Simpson returned
to jail on Friday, where he will spend several days before a judge hears
allegations that he violated terms of his bail in an armed robbery case here,
officials said. Clark County District Attorney David Roger alleges that in a
November voice message, Simpson told his bail bondsman to contact co-defendant
Clarence "C.J." Stewart and express frustration about testimony given at the
hearing where Simpson, Stewart and a third man were ordered to stand trial.

Actress Michelle Rodriguez has been released from jail after serving 17 days of
a six-month sentence for probation violation, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Dept.
said on Thursday. The 29-year-old former star of the TV series "Lost" was freed on Wednesday
evening from the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, south of
downtown Los Angeles.

Christopher Bowman, the former U.S. figure skating champion called "Bowman the
Showman" for his flare on the ice, died Thursday of a possible drug overdose,
authorities said. He was 40.Bowman was pronounced dead at 12:06 p.m., said Coroner's Lt.
Joe Bale, who wasn't immediately able to provide more details about the possible
drug overdose.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A lawyer
for Tom Cruise on Monday attacked an unauthorized biography of the
high-profile Scientologist, calling it "outrageous, sick stuff," even
as U.S. publisher St Martin's Press defended the book. "Tom
Cruise, An Unauthorized Biography," by British author Andrew Morton, best
known for his top-selling 1992 book on Princess Diana,
is due on U.S. bookshelves this month.

Johnny Grant, a tireless show business figure dubbed the
"honorary mayor of Hollywood"
for his devotion to the historic movie industry hub, died on Wednesday, the Los
Angeles Police Department said. He was 84. Grant
was perhaps best known for introducing celebrities when they got their stars on
the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But he also made 60 overseas trips to entertain U.S. troops with the USO, and recently returned
from a mission to Guantanamo
Bay.

family says "Dr. Phil" McGraw crossed the line by not keeping his
mouth shut after making a house call on the singer last week. Lou Taylor, a business manager for Spears'
mother, Lynne, and younger sister, Jamie Lynn, appeared on NBC's
"Today" show Wednesday and said McGraw had betrayed the family's
trust by talking to the media about Spears' mental health after showing up at
the 26-year-old pop star's hospital room on Saturday for a visit.

holidays, according to a report on radaronline.com. A tipster who saw her in the Continental Airlines terminal

suspended anchor Kelly Tilghman for two weeks on Wednesday for saying last week
that young players who wanted to challenge Tiger Woods should "lynch him
in a back alley." Tilghman was laughing
during the exchange Friday with analyst Nick Faldo at the Mercedes-Benz
Championship, and Woods' agent at IMG said he didn't think there was any ill
intent.
