Simpson returned to jail on Friday, where he will spend several days before a judge hears allegations that he violated terms of his bail in an armed robbery case here, officials said.  Clark County District Attorney David Roger alleges that in a November voice message, Simpson told his bail bondsman to contact co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart and express frustration about testimony given at the hearing where Simpson, Stewart and a third man were ordered to stand trial.

Former "Lost" Star Michelle Rodriguez Released Early From L.A. Jail

Read more...Actress Michelle Rodriguez has been released from jail after serving 17 days of a six-month sentence for probation violation, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Dept. said on Thursday.  The 29-year-old former star of the TV series "Lost" was freed on Wednesday evening from the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, south of downtown Los Angeles.

Read more...Christopher Bowman, the former U.S. figure skating champion called "Bowman the Showman" for his flare on the ice, died Thursday of a possible drug overdose, authorities said. He was 40.Bowman was pronounced dead at 12:06 p.m., said Coroner's Lt. Joe Bale, who wasn't immediately able to provide more details about the possible drug overdose.

Honorary Hollywood "Mayor" Johnny Grant Dies at 84

Johnny Grant, a tireless show business figure dubbed the "honorary mayor of Hollywood" for his devotion to the historic movie industry hub, died on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department said. He was 84.  Grant was perhaps best known for introducing celebrities when they got their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But he also made 60 overseas trips to entertain U.S. troops with the USO, and recently returned from a mission to Guantanamo Bay.

Read more...HONOLULU —  Golf Channel suspended anchor Kelly Tilghman for two weeks on Wednesday for saying last week that young players who wanted to challenge Tiger Woods should "lynch him in a back alley."  Tilghman was laughing during the exchange Friday with analyst Nick Faldo at the Mercedes-Benz Championship, and Woods' agent at IMG said he didn't think there was any ill intent.
