Helio Castroneves Tops Melanie Brown to Capture 'Dancing With the Stars' Trophy

Race-car driver Helio Castroneves upset Spice Girl Melanie Brown to capture the fifth "Dancing With the Stars" mirrorball trophy on Tuesday night.  "It will look so good between my two Indy 500 trophies," he said.  Castroneves and his partner,  Julianne Hough  , earned a perfect score of 30 for their final dance Tuesday, a quickstep.

Carson Daly Show To Defy Strike, Resume Production

'Last Call' To Start Taping Shows For Air Next Week...NEW YORK -- NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly" is about to become the first late-night talk show to defy the writers strike and resume production.  Daly, who is not a member of the Writers Guild, will begin taping new episodes of his Burbank-based show this week for airing next week, an NBC spokesperson confirmed Tuesday.

Two Stuntmen Burned on Set of New Adam Sandler Comedy

LOS ANGELES —  An accident on the set of Adam Sandler's latest comedy burned two stuntmen...One person was burned on his hands and legs and another on his back during filming on the Universal Studios back lot, Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Sam Padilla said Monday. Both victims, whose identities were not released, were taken to a hospital, he said.  One was in serious but stable condition and the other in stable condition at Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks, said hospital spokeswoman Debbie Groveman.

Kanye West, Evel Knievel, Settle Lawsuit Over Video

TAMPA, Fla. —  Evel Knievel and Kanye West have worked it out...The 69-year-old iconic motorcycle daredevil said he and West met at his Clearwater condo recently. They settled a federal lawsuit over the use of Knievel's trademarked image in a popular West music video.  Knievel sued West and his record company last year. He took issue with a 2006 music video for the song "Touch the Sky," in which the rapper takes on the persona of "Evel Kanyevel" and tries to jump a rocket-powered motorcycle over a canyon.
